Fireworks Making You Anxious?

Fireworks Making You Anxious?

Is the thought of the coming Bonfire Night celebrations with fireworks making you anxious?

Adults and children alike are joyful when fireworks are going off, sparkling the skies with an array of different colours and shapes that are mesmerising. Neighbours come out of their homes to look up and that oneness within the community takes a hold, usually in the cold night, warming our senses.

However fireworks can make some people anxious as much as it does pets who are fearful of loud noises. Why are humans anxious about fireworks you may ask?

Some individuals have different anxiety disorders, such as PTSD or even phobias of loud noises, or the thought of a fire being caused. The fear that causes this can lead the person into a panic attack or many other anxiety disorders.

Thankfully, there are some natural remedies such as CBD oil for anxiety and the likes of edibles and tinctures that can be easy to use. The Hemp Hacienda products are legal and fully certified to use in the UK and carry 0%THC (not providing a ‘high’). Using CBD capsules prior to Bonfire Night could help start the calming affects before the actual day. We always recommend that you find the right dosage of CBD to use for you.

In 2019, a study was undertaken with 72 people who had anxiety or sleep orders. Hemp oil was given to participants. Researchers found it reduced anxiety in 79% of people and it had a calming effect on the central nervous system.

If fireworks are making you anxious try different methods to help support your anxiety as well as CBD and Hemp products. Using noise cancelling headphones could also assist with the fear of noise and taking deep breaths, inhaling and exhaling slowly. Practice a 5-4-3-2-1 sensory exercise to feel centred, grounded and calm. Identify

* five things you can see

* four things you can hear

* three things you can feel

* two things you can smell

* one good thing you are grateful for or can say about yourself.

Most importantly, talk to others and let them know before, during and after the Bonfire Night celebrations of how you are feeling.

According to UK law, fireworks including sparklers should not be set off in public places, that’s including streets, unless granted authorisation by your council, and no fireworks should be set off between the hours of 11pm to 7am.

There are exceptions, which is Bonfire Night when fireworks can continue until midnight, and other festivals, such as New Year’s Eve  which is 1am.

Prior to taking any CBD and Hemp products it is important that you discuss it with your healthcare provider.

At the Hemp Hacienda, we like to keep our visitors informed and be part of a natural healthy alternative community to over the counter pills.
